Services Web Interface v3 going into Beta

We’re very excited to announce that our newest version of our Services Web Interface (version 3) has officially gone into beta testing stages. At this point; we have selected a limited number of users as our Beta testers.

The Services Web Interface (version 3) should be available to all users very soon. Please stay tuned!

IRC4Fun Website updated again

We’ve updated the IRC4Fun website once again!  This new look should make the site easier to navigate and improve visual appeal.

We’ve also improved the website security measures in an effort to prevent spam.  In addition to the security improvements, we’ve also been at work to add additional features that will benefit users and their experiences.

The ability to flag content as inappropriate has also been added.  Please click those links to report spam or content that violates the Acceptable Use Policy.

We will announce even more new features soon, so stay tuned!

And as always, thank you for being an IRC4Fun user!

Services Update

IRC4Fun Services were updated today, bringing some bug fixes, a new X Feature and more!  This update will resolve some bugs with X’s QUIET and UNQUIET commands, and more.  It will also fix some bugs in W and includes a change in N’s IDENTIFY responses.

Upon successful identification to N, users will now see: -N- AUTHENTICATION SUCCESSFUL as Nickname! or -N- AUTHENTICATION as Nickname FAILED!

X also has a new feature which should excite channel operators and founders: ANTIFLOOD  - AntiFlood (when set) will allow X to watch channel text for floods, and when a user is found to be flooding; X will KICKBAN the user.  In channels where flooding is a constant or more severe problem, X will G-line offending users.  (Channels experiencing more constant or severe flooding should ask in #Help for X’s ANTIFLOOD response to be changed for these channels.)

More updates to Services are planned in the near future; including some updates to the Services Web Interface.  Stay tuned!

As always, please report any bugs or inconsistencies from this update to #Help or submit a support ticket.

IRC4Fun Services Updates

IRC4Fun Services were updated today to patch some (un-noticeable) bugs.  The upgrade will also allow IRC4Fun to better serve our users with various planned future functionality.

One noticeable update is that Last quit messages are now stored by N and shown in INFO outputs.

We thank our users for their patience during the upgrade — and as always; please report any issues to #Help or open a Support ticket.
